b)      To know, understand and support the company's goals and purpose in the community

1)     To relate and interact in harmonious and respectful nature with all co-workers

2)     To set an example as a mature and productive team member

Department Responsibilities

1)     Purchasing

a)     Occasional placement of orders per the direction of assistant or manager

2)      Receiving, Stocking, Merchandising

a)     Ensure all items are checked in, handled and processed in accordance with standard receiving procedures.

b)    Process invoices, making sure to report to manager quality concerns and pricing discrepancies

c)     See that product is properly stored.

d)    Keep shelves abundantly stocked

e)     Maintain visually appealing displays as per the direction of the manager

f)     Ensure all products on display shelf are of the highest quality and are properly culled.

g)    Maintain  high standard of safety and cleanliness in work  and display  area

h)     Keep all work areas clean and organized

i)      Maintain signage to ensure it is accurate, properly programmed at register and represents proper how grown distinction.

j)      Keep fixtures and mirrors clean

3) Customer Service

a)     ensure satisfaction of customers needs

b)    Handle customer requests, suggestions, complaints and questions.  Report to manager, especially areas needing follow up

c)     Take special orders.

d)    Be available to help out in the general store as per the direction of a PIC or produce manager.

e)     Be available to answer customer's questions and show them to products throughout store. 

f)     Be available to answer phone during busy times.

5) Organic Standards

a)     Understand & maintain  state and third party  certification  standards

b)    Handle and label produce in a manner that is consistent with certified organic standards

6) Other

a)     Fill in for assistant during illness or vacation

b)    Be available for deep cleaning needs, as directed by manager
